3. What Data We Collect and Process
3.1 Basic Account Data
When setting up an Account, the Company will collect your email address and country of residence. You are also required to choose a user name and a password. The provision of this information is necessary to register a User Account. You are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
During setup of your account, the account is automatically assigned a number (the "ID") that is later used to reference your user account without directly exposing Personally Identifying Information about you.
3.2 Transaction and Payment Data
In order to make a transaction online, you may need to provide payment data to the Company to enable the transaction. If you pay by credit card, you need to provide typical credit card information (name, address, credit card number, expiration date and security code) to the Company, which the Company will process and transmit to the payment service provider of your choice to enable the transaction and perform anti-fraud checks. Likewise, the Company will receive data from your payment service provider for the same reasons.
3.3 Other Data You Explicitly Submit
We will collect and process Personal Data whenever you explicitly provide it to us or send it as part of communication with others. This data includes:
- Information that you post, comment or follow in any of our Content and Services;
- Information sent through chat;
- Information you provide when you request information or support from us or purchase Content and Services from us;
- Information you provide to us when participating in competitions, contests and tournaments or responding to surveys.
3.4 Your Use of the Websites
We collect a variety of information through your general interaction with the websites, Content and Services offered by us. Personal Data we collect may include, but is not limited to, browser and device information, data collected through automated electronic interactions and application usage data. Likewise, we will track your process across our websites and applications to verify that you are not a bot and to optimize our services.
3.5 Your Use of Services and other Subscriptions
In order to provide you with services, we need to collect, store and use various information about your activity in our Content and Services. "Content-Related Information" includes your ID, as well as information about your preferences, progress, time spent, as well as information about the device you are using, including what operating system you are using, device settings, unique device identifiers, and crash data.
3.6 SMS Communications
Methodology IT sends short transactional SMS messages to managed-services clients from +1 (855) 416-4504. The subsections below explain what you've opted in to receive and how to opt out.
3.6.1 Consent
By providing your mobile phone number to Methodology IT — through our intake form, our master services agreement, or verbally when you onboard with us — you expressly consent to receive SMS messages from Methodology IT related to support requests you initiate. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase. This consent is separate from, and not part of, any other agreement you have with Methodology IT.
3.6.2 What you'll receive
We send SMS for two specific purposes only:
- Caller-verification one-time codes. A 6-digit code or tap-to-confirm link sent when you call our helpdesk, so the technician on the call can verify it's really you before making any account changes.
- Account-recovery passes. A short-lived Temporary Access Pass (TAP) code we issue when we reset your Microsoft 365 password at your request.
We do not use this number for marketing, newsletters, or promotional messages of any kind.
3.6.3 Message frequency
Frequency varies and is driven entirely by your own support requests. Most clients receive zero to two messages in a typical month.
3.6.4 Costs
Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier's plan. Methodology IT does not charge you for the messages themselves.
3.6.5 How to opt out — reply STOP
Reply STOP to any message and you'll be immediately removed from our SMS list. You'll receive a single confirmation message and nothing else after.
Reply HELP to any message and you'll receive a short reply with our phone number so you can reach a human.
3.6.6 Sample messages you may receive
Methodology IT verification code: 482917. Read this to the agent who called you. The code expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
Methodology IT support is verifying your identity. Tap to confirm it's you: https://… Expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out.
3.6.7 Privacy
We only use the mobile number you provide to send the messages described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number with third parties for marketing. Our messaging carrier (Twilio, operating as "Twill") processes the SMS on our behalf under their privacy terms, available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.

The information generated by these services will generally be transmitted to and stored by the applicable Third Party Service. Please be aware that the Company cannot control the use of cookies or the resulting information by Third Party Services.
3.9 Content Recommendations

Subject to your separate consent or where explicitly permitted under applicable laws, the Company may send you marketing messages about products and services to your email address. You can opt out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link provided in every marketing email.
3.10 Information Required to Detect Violations
We collect certain data that is required for our detection, investigation and prevention of fraud, cheating and other violations of applicable laws. This data is used only for the purposes of detection, investigation, prevention and, where applicable, acting on such violations and stored only for the minimum amount of time needed for this purpose.

4.1 Period of Storage
We will store your information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information is collected and processed or — where applicable law provides for longer storage — for the storage and retention period required by law.
